Like Rasral said, its likely still more tactical in DAO.īUT THIS IS an uninformed opinion. It could have been much better, which is why people point out its flaws so much.ĭAI looks like it'll be a clear improvement over DAO is many or most ways, but certain things will be left behind. It is not necessarily a 'bad' game as others would call it, but it is only a good game overall, and a mediocre Dragon Age game. (not including Darkspawn Chronicles and Leliana's Song here)ĭA2 improves a few things at the expense of dragging many more things through the mud.ĭA2 is basically a less successful and more rushed ME2, in terms of overall design and EA business philosophies of 2010-2011 gaming era. DA2 (haven't played the DLCs yet and only got 1/2 way through main game currently playing) I also hope that the personas and banter of the comapnions in Inquisition are more attractive than the characters look.ģ. I hope the new characters have the charm of the first game, and not the lack of it as in the second. Only Varric in the sequel came close to that. Alistaire and Morrigan and Leliana all made me love them. I have heard that Inquisition is huge, but I hope that does just ammount to tons of boring busywork and lack of story or character background and charm. I think I am one of the few that actually prefered the combat in Dragon Age 2, but the chracters and story were so much worse, that I am having a hard time even watching a letsplay to remind myself what happened in it.

Played Dragon Age 2 when it came out, eagerly antiticipating it, and was sorely disappointed, to the point that I am hesitant to pick up Inquisition and will wait a few weeks until players (instead of professional reviewers) start giving their thoughts. Played Dragon Age Origins when it came out and absolutely fell in love with it.

Add into that an awesome story and a surprisingly populated free roam world and you got a game that should please both fans of DA:O and DA2 Its not as slow as Origins, but its a lot more tactical and thought-based than DA2's "MASH ALL THE BUTTONS!" Playstyle. What DA:I did was take the flashy, awesome combat of DA2 and slowed it down slightly. Which is why a lot of people are excited for Inquisition. People who prefer DA2 generally admit the story was rushed, the enviroment was ♥♥♥♥ and the enemies were boring. DA2's combat feels meaty and looks fantastic, but it lsoes a lot of the slow, tactical edge Origins had. This means that visually, DA2's combat looks SO much better than DA:O. DA2 was developed by a totally different team and they were told to put most of their budget into flashy spells and effects. DA:I is a mix of the two, focusing on a smart, tactical story while injecting the action and sleek wit of DA2 into it.ĭA2 improves on DA:O in certain aspects, it depends on how you felt about DA:O. DA2 is very fast, very dumb, very witty and very action-packed. DA:O Is very slow, very deliberate, very smart and tactical.
